The Gunnislake Festival, Cornwall began in 2001, as a celebration of the regeneration works carried out in the village. 

Events, which takes place from the first Wednesday preceding the first Saturday in August, incorporate exhibitions, competitions and musical entertainment and offer all sections of the community and visitors alike, an opportunity to join in the fun. 

The exhibitions include art, needlework & local history and are all based within the village centre. 

Local public houses put on a variety of events each evening and a floribundant competition, together with the popular scarecrows, adds a vibrancy to the village.
